It's important for students to get their year off to a good start. Although high school students are expected to be more independent, more focused, and more responsible, it is essential that students know they are supported and that we are working together to help them be successful. During the first few weeks of school, I encourage parents to check in regularly with their child - making sure that they are doing well in their classes, and that they're taking every opportunity to get involved in school activities. Don't hesitate to contact your child's teacher for information related to curriculum inquiries, class expectations, or homework requirements.
