I hope the transition into the 2018-2019 school year has been smooth and that everyone is now feeling a bit more settled with new schedules, new classes, and new teachers. Newness can be exciting and invigorating, but can bring along some anxiety as we work to become familiar with the changes.
Each year, I look forward to starting anew. Every day can offer something different and provide us with new learning opportunities. It is always exciting to see students ready and eager to be learning something new from their teachers and from each other, and setting new goals for themselves. There is always something happening to be proud of in the halls of Triton High School.
Keeping with the achievement of goals, please take a minute to go to the section on this site titled: Helpful Websites for Parents of High School Students. A newly added website: The Parents’ Guide to Student Success was developed in response to the Common Core State Standards in English language arts and mathematics that more than 45 states have adopted. Created by teachers, parents, education experts, and others from across the country, the standards provide clear, consistent expectations for what students should be learning at each grade in order to be prepared for college and career.
We encourage you to continue to take an active role in your child’s education. For students struggling in a class, our staff makes every attempt to notify the parents/guardians in a timely manner so there is time for the parent /guardian to get involved to assist the students in taking the necessary corrective actions. If you have any concerns or questions, I encourage you to contact your child's teacher at any time. Working together is the best recipe for success.
If you are looking for something to do, It is always exciting to come out and watch the various sports teams as they compete in their meets and play in their games- never seeming to run out of steam. Drama students will be commencing practices and rehearsals for the upcoming musical. Without doubt, there's always something interesting going on.

Thank you for your involvement and care in our school. An actively collaborative school community is our best chance at providing all students an opportunity to achieve success. Sending Good Vibes,
